It's always good to be able to go to a club, or even to listen to music at home, and know which dance matches any song that's being played.

In this classroom-style workshop, we'll compare and contrast a number of different Latin musical styles, discussing such info as history and origin, instruments involved in making the music, and become acquainted with a few important musicians. We'll also look at examples of the various rhythms' accompanying dances.

By the end, you will have gained exposure to a wide variety of very different musical and dance styles, and have a better sense of how to differentiate among them.
